Event information
The Trail Run at the Monkey Trails takes place on February 21, 2026, in Keithville, LA at Eddie D. Jones Park (8400 Mike Clark Road). The event offers three trail distances run on the park trails:
- 10 mile
- 5 mile
- 3 mile
There is a 3 hour time limit for the 10 mile course; times will not be recorded for participants still on course after that limit. Awards are given for all three distances: overall Male and Female, and 1st and 2nd Place Male and Female in age groups 14-and-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Logistics and policies
Registration fees are $32 through February 6, $37 from February 7 to February 20, and $40 on race day. Participants who select the "I have too many race shirts" option save $5. Packet pickup is available at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport, LA, on Thursday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 20, and on race morning (Feb. 21).
A post-race party with burgers and drinks is planned. Refunds: 100% refund if cancellation is made more than 30 days before the race; 50% refund if canceled between 30 days and two weeks before race day; no refunds within two weeks of the race. Race entry transfers are allowed at least two weeks before race day for a $10 fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
