The Trail Run at Bistineau takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Lake Bistineau State Park in Doyline, LA. The event offers two trail race options and a multi-race bundle that groups this race with two other regional trail events.

Course and awards
Both the 3 mile and 9 mile courses run on cut trails through Lake Bistineau State Park. The 9 mile course has a 3 hour time limit; times will not be recorded for participants still on course after that limit. Awards are given for 1st and 2nd overall male and female, and 1st and 2nd place male and female in these age groups: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
Registration, packet pickup and extras
Standard registration pricing is tiered: $32 through January 9, $37 January 10-16, and $40 on race day. Packet pick-up occurs on January 15 and January 16 at Sportspectrum. Registrants receive a duffle bag instead of a t-shirt; opting out of the duffle bag reduces the registration fee by $5.
Refunds and transfers
Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 30 days before the race. Cancellations between 30 days and two weeks before the race receive 50% refund. No refunds are allowed less than two weeks before the race. Transfers to another person are permitted if completed at least two weeks before the race for a $10 fee.
