Tilbury Douglas Yorkshire Run for WaterAid 2026
The event takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Swinsty Reservoir in the Washburn Valley on the southern side of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Runners can choose between the following distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The route is a reservoir circuit primarily on accessibility-friendly paths, with some sections on road and short segments on flat dirt track. The course is mainly flat with one moderate hill and uses one lap for the 5 km and two laps for the 10 km. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry is limited to 300 places; current availability listed at the time of publication was 233. Entry fees vary, with discounted rates for car sharing and for England Athletics members; listed prices range from £15.00 to £20.00. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available for an additional £3.
The race holds a UKA Licence (Licence No: 31100) and results are published on Power of 10. To comply with licence rules, participants are discouraged from wearing headphones or earphones and must keep their race number visible. Facilities at the race headquarters at Swinsty Moor Car Park (LS21 2NP) include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, showers or baggage storage.
