Tilbury Douglas Yorkshire Run for WaterAid 2026
The event takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Swinsty Reservoir, near Harrogate, within the Washburn Valley on the southern side of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Race HQ is at Swinsty Moor Car Park (LS21 2NP).
The course follows accessibility-friendly paths around the reservoir and includes sections on road and short segments on a flat dirt track. The route is mainly flat with one moderate hill and uses a circuit layout. The race is offered as two distance options:
- 5 km approximately one lap
- 10 km approximately two laps
The event is a multi-terrain race with a UKA Licence pending. Results are intended for publication on Power of 10. Entry is limited to 300 places and the published entry range is £15.00 to £20.00, with discounted prices available for car share entries and England Athletics members. Car sharing is encouraged because of parking limitations; priority car parking is offered for cars with multiple occupants.
Facilities include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers or baggage storage. The event is photographed and entrants are automatically opted into race photography. All funds and sponsorship raised from the event are allocated to WaterAid projects.
