Tilbury Douglas Yorkshire Run for WaterAid 2026
The event is a charity running event held at Swinsty Reservoir near Harrogate, in the Washburn Valley within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route uses accessibility-friendly paths around the reservoir and combines paved paths, short sections of road and short flat dirt-track segments. The course is mainly flat with one moderate hill and is run as a circuit.
Distances:
- 5 km (one lap)
- 10 km (two laps)
The event is licensed by UK Athletics (Licence number 31100) and results are published on national ranking services. Entry places are limited (300) and entry fees range from £15.00 to £20.00 depending on options and discounts. Car sharing is encouraged because of parking constraints; car-share entries receive a reduced fee and cars with multiple occupants may receive priority parking. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Facilities listed for the event include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage at the race headquarters, which is Swinsty Moor Car Park (LS21 2NP). Photography takes place during the event and participants should expect to be photographed. All funds and sponsorship raised at the event are directed to WaterAid projects.
