Course & Terrain

The Tilbury Douglas Yorkshire Run for WaterAid offers two distances: a 5 km and a 10 km route. The course is located at Swinsty Reservoir in the Washburn Valley, within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route is mainly flat, with one moderate hill. It takes place on roads, paths, and includes short segments on a flat dirt track. The event has a UKA Race Licence.

Facilities & Logistics

The race headquarters is at Swinsty Moor Car Park (LS21 2NP). On-site facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. Due to limited parking, car sharing is encouraged, which also provides a discount on the entry fee and priority parking. The event is officially timed and results are published on Power of 10. Participants are discouraged from wearing headphones and must have their race number visible. The event will be photographed.

Entry Information

The standard entry fees are £20.00 for the 5k and £20.00 for the 10k. Discounted rates of £17.00 are available for participants who car-share or are England Athletics members. A combined discount for car-sharing England Athletics members reduces the fee to £15.00. Entry on the day is available for an additional £3.00, if the event does not sell out. The entry limit is 300 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
