BeckBusters 2km Fun Run 2026
The BeckBusters 2km Fun Run is a chip timed event held on Sunday 20 September 2026 as part of the BeckBusters race day. The race covers approximately 2 km, starts and finishes at Bishop Monkton Primary School, and takes place before the 10 km race. The course follows a quiet country road, drops onto a farm track and returns to the school with an optional splash through the Beck.
The event is for children aged 3 to under 15. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult and the accompanying adult does not need to pay or enter. All finishers receive a participation medal and prizes are awarded to overall and age category winners. The race is in its ninth year and the race licence is listed as TBC.
Practical details include an entry limit of 150 and an entry fee of £6.00. The course is described as multi terrain and flat, with a single lap. The course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes. There are no official water stations, changing facilities or showers, and there are no distance markers. Baggage is left at entrants own risk and a race headquarters is based at Bishop Monkton Primary School.
The event is organised by the Friends of Bishop Monkton Primary School, a registered charity. Funds raised are used to provide equipment and support improvements to the school. Free transfers are available up to 14 September 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
