BeckBusters 2km Fun Run 2026
The BeckBusters Fun Run is a multi-terrain running event located in Bishop Monkton. Now in its ninth year, the event features a flat, single-lap course covering a distance of approximately 2 km. The run is designed for participants aged 3 to under 15 years old. Participants under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult, though the accompanying adult is not required to register or pay an entry fee.
The route begins and ends at Bishop Monkton Primary School. The course takes participants along a quiet country road and a farm track. Before returning to the school grounds, runners have the option to complete a splash through the local Beck. The event is chip timed, and all finishers receive a participation medal. Awards are presented to overall winners and age category winners.
Event facilities at the school include toilets, but there are no changing facilities, showers, water stations, or distance markers on the course. A refreshments area at the school provides items such as bacon sandwiches and homemade cakes for entrants and supporters. The event is organized by the Friends of Bishop Monkton Primary School, with proceeds used to fund equipment and improvements for the school.
