BeckBusters 10km 2026
BeckBusters is a chip timed, multi terrain race of approximately 10 km held in Bishop Monkton on 20 September 2026. The event is in its ninth year and starts and finishes at Bishop Monkton Primary School. The course is described as flat and fast and runs through countryside, using a mixture of road, footpaths and trails. It begins on a quiet country road, follows cross country sections beside the River Ure and the Ripon Canal, passes through the village of Littlethorpe and returns to Bishop Monkton, ending with a splash through the beck.
The event has an entry limit of 300 and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Facilities listed at the race headquarters include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store; baggage is left at the entrant's own risk. Entrants must be over 15 on the day. Transfers to another runner are allowed free of charge up to 14 September 2026. The organisers state that refunds are not offered.
All finishers receive energy bars and fruit. A medal can be added to an entry if selected before 15 August 2026. Prizes are awarded for overall places and several category and local awards.
