BeckBusters 2km Fun Run 2026
The BeckBusters Fun Run is a chip timed community race of approximately 2 km for children aged 3 to under 15. The event is organised by the Friends of Bishop Monkton Primary School (Registered Charity 1050824) and is held at Bishop Monkton Primary School, St Johns Road, Bishop Monkton, HG3 3QW.
The course starts and finishes at the school, runs on quiet country road and a farm track, and includes an optional splash through the Beck. The route is multi terrain, flat and is run as a single lap. The organisers state the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.
Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult; an accompanying adult does not need to pay or enter. All finishers receive a participation medal and prizes are awarded to overall and age category winners.
Facilities are limited: toilets are available, but there is no water provision, no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Refreshments including bacon sandwiches and homemade cakes are served at the school. Entry is limited to 150 places and the published entry fee is £6.
