BeckBusters 2km Fun Run 2026
The BeckBusters 2km Fun Run takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 in Bishop Monkton. The chip timed event is in its ninth year and is held prior to the BeckBusters 10km race. The course is approximately 2 km, single lap, starting and finishing at Bishop Monkton Primary School. It follows a quiet country road, runs down a farm track and returns to the school with an optional splash through the Beck. The route is described as multi terrain with a flat profile and is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.
Entry is for ages 3 to under 15. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult; the accompanying adult does not need to pay or enter. Entry is limited to 150 places and entry on the day is not available. The entry fee is £6.00. Places can be transferred free of charge up until 14 September 2026; refunds are not offered.
All finishers receive a participation medal. Prizes are awarded to overall and age category winners. Refreshments including freshly cooked bacon sandwiches and homemade cakes are available at Bishop Monkton Primary School before, during and after the race. The event is organised by the Friends of Bishop Monkton Primary School, a registered charity, and funds raised are used to provide equipment and support school improvements.
