The Taco Dash
The Taco Dash is scheduled for October 31, 2026 at Cabo Fish Taco, 11611 N Community House Rd, Charlotte, NC. After a year off, this is the fifth annual running event hosted at the restaurant location.
The event’s stated mission is to support local businesses and organizations that train, employ, and provide life skills for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. The organizers aim to help people with Autism, Down syndrome, and other physical and developmental disabilities find their purpose and place in the community.
Race day will include a run and associated activities such as music, games, food, and drink. Distances and participation options include:
- 5K run
- 3K walk
- 5K Exceptional Athletes - free for participants with physical or developmental disabilities
Registration fees vary by registration period and include mandatory charges and fees. There is a free registration category for Exceptional Athletes. The event notes that refunds are not available unless a participant purchased the Refund Protection Program. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
