The Taco Dash
The Taco Dash returns as the 5th annual event on October 31, 2026, at Cabo Fish Taco, 11611 N Community House Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277. After a one year break, the event resumes with a focus on local community support.
The event's mission is to support local businesses and organizations that train, employ, and provide life skills for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. The stated goal is to help people with Autism, Down syndrome, and other physical and developmental disabilities find their purpose and place in the community.
Distances and participation options:
- 5K run
- 3K walk
- 5K Exceptional Athletes free entry for participants with physical or developmental disabilities
Race day will include the 5K run and event activities such as music, games, food and drink.
Registration fees apply for the 5K and 3K walk, while the Exceptional Athletes 5K category is free for eligible participants. Registration policies note that there are no refunds unless a participant enrolled in the Refund Protection Program. Race management may cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of Acts of God.
