The Taco Dash returns for its 5th annual event on October 31, 2026 at Cabo Fish Taco, 11611 N Community House Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277. The event follows a year off and is organized around a community race day with music, games, food and drink.

The event’s stated mission is to support local businesses and organizations that train, employ, and provide life skills for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. The stated goal is to help individuals with Autism, Down syndrome, and other physical and developmental disabilities find their purpose and place in the community.

Race day includes a timed run and a walk. Distances listed for participants:

• 5K
• 3k Walk
• 5K Exceptional Athletes free for anyone with a physical or developmental disability

Registration information notes varied pricing periods and a Refund Protection Program. There are no refunds for registrations that did not enroll in the Refund Protection Program. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable if the event is canceled due to Acts of God.
