NoDaWeen Freaky 5K Costume Run
The NoDaWeen Freaky 5K is a community 5 kilometer costume run scheduled for October 24, 2026, in the NoDa neighborhood of Charlotte. The event is hosted by the NoDa Neighborhood and Business Association and uses Great Wagon Road Distilling Company at 610 Anderson St as the start and finish location.
The course is on city roads and is described as relatively flat with small hills. The route is noted as spectator friendly. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes; prizes are planned for best costumes and for the fastest runners. A post-run party will be held at Great Wagon Road Distilling Company, and prize winners must be present to collect their awards.
The event welcomes runners and walkers, families, teenagers, children, strollers, and leashed well trained dogs. Pre-registration by October 15, 2026 includes a race package with a t-shirt and a swag bag of local items; the 2026 t-shirt design is forthcoming. Packet pick up is available the day before and the day of the event. The race will take place rain or shine.
