NODA Halloween Freaky 5k
The NODA Halloween Freaky 5K is a community road run held on October 24, 2026, in the NoDa neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. The course is city road terrain with relatively flat sections and small hills, noted as a good route for spectators. The event is hosted by the NoDa NBA Neighborhood and Business Association and net proceeds benefit NoDa NBA community projects.
Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes; prizes are awarded for best costumes and for the fastest runners. A post-run gathering will take place at Great Wagon Road Distilling. The event welcomes families, friends, teenagers, kids, strollers, and well behaved leashed dogs.
Registration opened on January 15, 2026, with different deadlines for age categories. Registration fees listed for the event include $35 for the main 5K, $15 for the kids 5 to 12 category, and free entry listed for ages 0 to 4. Pre-registration by October 15, 2026 includes a race package with a t-shirt, with youth sizes available.
