The Seven Hills of Edinburgh
The Seven Hills of Edinburgh is an annual running event held in June, starting and finishing at Calton Hill in Edinburgh, Scotland. Covering approximately 14.3 miles with 2,200 feet of ascent and descent, the course combines road running, cross-country, hill running, and urban orienteering. Participants navigate through six checkpoints atop Edinburgh’s iconic hills, including the Castle esplanade, Corstorphine Hill, and Arthur’s Seat, without a marked route.
The event offers two categories: The Race for fitter runners aiming for a competitive pace, and The Challenge for those completing the course at their own speed, up to four hours. The race features a friendly atmosphere, refreshment stations, team competitions, and prizes, making it a scenic and challenging experience for all abilities.
