The Scary Scamper 5K - Florence

The Scary Scamper - Florence, AL

The Scary Scamper is a Halloween themed running event in downtown Florence, presented by Sheffield Cross-Country and hosted by The Florence Ghostbusters. The event includes a timed race and a shorter fun run, with both courses starting and finishing at the intersection of N. Walnut Street and E. Mobile Street, in the 200 block of Walnut Street. The Florence Ghostbusters will be present with their Ecto 1 vehicle. Awards and prizes will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers, and prizes will also be awarded for the best costumes; the costume contest will be judged by The Florence Ghostbusters.

Pre-registration includes a t-shirt and a race bib. T-shirts will also be available for race day registration in limited quantities. Registration fees listed are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the fun run. All proceeds benefit the Sheffield Cross-Country program and are designated for uniforms, race fees, and travel expenses.
