The Millennium Run
The Millennium Run takes place on January 1, 2026, in Florence, Alabama at Shoals Christian School, 301 Heathrow Dr., 35633. This is the 26th annual running of the event. It includes the following distances:

- 1 Mile
Event details
Packet pickup opens on race morning in the Shoals Christian gym. Early registration through December 20th lists the 5K at $35 and the 1-Mile at $25; late registration from December 20th to January 1st lists the 5K at $40 and the 1-Mile at $30, with shirts available while supplies last. Race-day registration is allowed while shirts remain available.
Both the 5K and 1-mile routes are USATF-certified and follow a route through the Heathrow neighborhood; course maps are available before the race. Timing is provided by Race Ready Events.
Awards include trophies for 1st overall male and female and 1st overall masters (age 40+), plus medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each 10-year age group (0–9, 10–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+). Facilities include an indoor warm-up area, on-site parking, registration station, restrooms, a coffee truck, and post-race refreshments. All proceeds support Shoals Christian School Athletics.
