Trax4MAX Turkey Trot : YMCA of the Shoals
Trax4MAX Turkey Trot is a community road event held on Thanksgiving morning at the YMCA of the Shoals in Florence, Alabama. The event features a certified 5K course and a 1 mile fun run for walkers, joggers, stroller users, and wheelchair participants. It is USATF certified.

- 5 km road race.
- 1 mile fun run, suitable for walkers and stroller participants.
Packets containing bibs and t-shirts are available for pickup before race day at Solid Rock Running Company; race-day packet pickup and registration are also offered in the First Baptist Church parking lot, though t-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants. A limited number of youth t-shirts are available.
The event includes an awards presentation and a costume contest with a separate entry process. Proceeds support the YMCA of the Shoals children’s scholarship programs, which fund access to childcare and free swim lessons for children in the community. Race organizers permit restrained pets, strollers in the 1 mile fun run, and wheelchairs; bicycles, scooters, skateboards, wagons, and similar devices are not allowed on course. Stroller and wheelchair participants are asked to start toward the back of the field to maintain safety and flow on the course.
