The Raven 10K

The Raven 10K is a trail run on the grounds of Raven Run Nature Sanctuary in Lexington, KY, presented by Lexington Parks and Recreation. The event field for the in-person race is limited to 170 participants due to parking capacity. The course begins with large grassy sections and transitions to single-track primitive trails. Organizers enforce a 2.5-hour time limit, equivalent to a 24 minute per mile pace, because of park access constraints.

There is an in-person race and a virtual option that allows participants to run, walk, or hike the distance on their own schedule. Virtual participants may complete the distance prior to September 28 and receive a commemorative race shirt by mail; virtual entries do not receive awards and operate on the honor system. Registration details include an in-person fee of $42, with a higher late fee applying after September 13, and a virtual fee of $30 with a lower fee available without a shirt.

Packet pickup is available at a local running store community room prior to race day, and there is a last-chance pickup at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary. Friends or family may pick up packets for participants and no identification is required. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each listed age group, from 0-9 through 70 and over.
