The Race for a Place 5K & 10K Run/Walk
The Race for a Place is a community 5K and 10K run/walk held in Greenville, South Carolina on October 3, 2026. The courses run around the Front Porch Housing property and the neighboring Greenville Technical Campus. The event location is 1433 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29607.

Registration opens October 31, 2025 and closes September 11, 2026. Published registration fees are $25 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K. Packet pickup for race bibs and supplies is on Friday, October 2 between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm in the Front Porch Housing ClubHouse. Day of race registration is available prior to the start of the race from 7:00 am to 7:30 am.
Children 7 years old and under can participate free without registration; free participants will not receive a race shirt. Registered children under 8 may receive an official race time but will not be placed in an awards division. The smallest available race shirt size for registrants is Adult XS.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each age group for male and female divisions. Age divisions include 8-12, 13-19, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
