TreesUpstate Turkey Day Run : Greenville, SC
This event takes place on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Greenville and offers two distances. Both races use a corral start organized by estimated pace so runners with similar speeds start together; walkers are placed in the last corral.

- 5k Fun Run & Walk
The 5k course for 2026 is roads only. The 8k course includes small portions of the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail and passes Cancer Survivors Park, Falls Park, and Unity Park. There is one water stop on the 5k course in Cleveland Park and two water stops on the 8k course in Cleveland and Unity Park. The 8k course has a cutoff at Mile 2.5; participants who do not clear that point before the cutoff will be moved to the 5k for results.
Packet pick up is available Monday through Wednesday the week of the event at Fleet Feet Sports Greenville and at Yee Haw Brewing Company on the Wednesday before the race. Online registration closes the evening before the race. There is no race day registration and no race day packet pick up. Entry fees follow tiered pricing through the fall.
Cash awards for 1st through 3rd overall male and female finishers are offered in both the 8k and the 5k. Age group awards for the top three in each division are based on chip time. A costume contest and a limited giveaway of free trees during packet pick up are part of the event. Courses are subject to change for natural disasters or unforeseen circumstances.
