TreesUpstate Turkey Day Run
The event takes place on Thanksgiving Day in downtown Greenville, South Carolina, and features two race distances and a corral start by pace. Both races start together in pace-based corrals; fastest corrals begin first and walkers start in the last corral. Runners with a pace faster than 9 minutes per mile are placed in the fastest corral. The 8k field has a course cutoff at mile 2.5; participants who miss the cutoff are moved to the 5k results.
Distances:
- 8k : course uses Cancer Survivors Park, Falls Park, Unity Park, and small portions of the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail.
- 5k : updated for 2026 to be roads only.
There are water stops on course: one on the 5k in Cleveland Park and two on the 8k in Cleveland and Unity Park. Packet pick-up occurs the Monday through Wednesday before the race at Fleet Feet Sports Greenville and Yee Haw Brewing Company; e-packet is posted the week before. Online registration closes the evening before the event and there is no race-day registration or race-day packet pick-up.
