The Pumpkin Marathon & Spooky Halloween Challenge
The Pumpkin Marathon and the Spooky Halloween Challenge are two linked multi-lap races held on 31 October 2026 at Burroughs Bank, Lightmoor, Telford TF4 3QS. Each event offers a choice of distances and is organised by How Hard Can It Be Events.
Both events offer these distances:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
Places are limited to 40 entrants for each race. There is a six hour cut-off for each distance; organisers can discuss longer cut-off times on request. Aid stations are provided approximately every mile and include water, squash, coke, sweets and other treats. Marshals are positioned on the course to provide support.
Fancy dress is encouraged for both events. The Spooky Halloween Challenge takes place in the evening environment on the lanes of Lightmoor, and head torches are required for that event. Race headquarters is at Burroughs Bank and parking is available within a five-minute walk of the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
