Ellerdine Effort 5k
The Ellerdine Effort is a charity road race held on 26 August 2026 at Ellerdine Village Hall, TF6 6QT. The event is a 5k road race described as being run over a fast course. Proceeds are split between Prostate Cancer UK and Ellerdine Village Hall, with sponsorship from Green Power & Heat Ltd and support from Telford Athletic Club.
Entry is online only. Standard entry is £10.00, with a discounted rate of £8.00 available until 25 August 2026 for members of clubs affiliated to EA, WA or SA. Entrants must be over 16. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to sign-ups. Total places are listed as 215 and the event status is open.
Race numbers are collected on the day from Race HQ in Ellerdine Village Hall, where toilets are available; there are no showers. Parking is provided on the playing field opposite the hall, which is also the race finish and number collection point (what3words: into.branching.clapper). The race start is roughly 1 km from the village hall, so participants should allow time to reach the start after collecting numbers. Competitors should bring their own pins. Refreshments will be available to purchase after the race.
Entries are not transferable; a waiting list operates and entrants unable to run may be offered a refund or the option to donate their entry fee to the listed charities.
