Ellerdine Effort 5k
The Ellerdine Effort is a charity 5k road race held on 26 August 2026 at Ellerdine Village Hall, TF6 6QT. The event is organised with support from Telford Athletic Club and sponsored by Green Power and Heat Ltd, local Solar PV specialists. All proceeds will be split between Prostate Cancer UK and Ellerdine Village Hall.
The course is described as fast and finishes at the Village Hall. Parking and race number collection are on the playing field opposite the hall, with the what3words location into.branching.clapper. The start line is roughly 1 km away from the hall, so participants should allow time to reach it after collecting numbers. Toilets are available in the hall; there are no showers. Refreshments will be available to purchase after the race.
Entry is online only at a standard fee of £10 with a discounted rate of £8 available until 25 August for members of clubs affiliated to the listed associations. Entrants must be aged over 16. Entries cannot be transferred; a waiting list is in operation and entrants unable to run may be offered a refund or the option to donate their fee to the charities. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and women and to winners of each five year masters category.
