Severn Bridges 10k Road Race
This event is a 10 km road race in the market town of Shrewsbury on 6 September 2026. The course starts and finishes in Quarry Park, a riverside location in the town centre.
Runners follow a loop inside the park before continuing along the banks of the River Severn. The route turns and returns across various bridges before finishing back in Quarry Park.
The race is organised as a not for profit event with costs underwritten by a local running club and any surplus funds donated to charity. The event has a partnership with West Mercia Search & Rescue, the official lowland rescue unit for the West Mercia Police area that provides volunteer search and rescue across Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Practical details include on the day number collection, no entries on the day, a bag drop area and no changing or showering facilities. There is a water station on course at 6 km and water at the finish. A medal is provided for all finishers.
