Severn Bridges 10k Road Race
The Severn Bridges 10k is a road race held in the centre of Shrewsbury with the start and finish in Quarry Park, a riverside location in the market town. The course includes a loop inside the park, an outbound section along the banks of the River Severn and a return that crosses several bridges before finishing back in Quarry Park.
The event distance is 10 km. Race numbers are collected on the day and there are no entries on the day. There is a water station on the course at 6 km and water available at the finish. All finishers receive a medal. A bag drop area is provided and there are no changing or showering facilities on site, so participants should arrive ready to run.
The race is organised as a not for profit event with costs underwritten by the Shropshire Shufflers and surplus funds donated to charity. This edition is partnered with West Mercia Search and Rescue, a charity lowland rescue unit covering Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire that provides search and rescue across urban and rural areas. The event is EA affiliated with licence details to be confirmed. The total number of places is 400 and the event status is open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
