The Pilgrimage Run Turkey Trot
The Pilgrimage Run is a community athletic event held in Erie, Colorado, featuring multiple distances designed for families and participants of various abilities. The event takes place on a flat course consisting of 90% paved trails and 10% streets. Participants have the option to run, walk, or use strollers and wagons during the activities.
The event offers several participation options:
- 4 Mile (Available as chip-timed or non-timed)
- 2 Mile
- 400 yard Kids Run
The 4 Mile course follows a similar route to the 2 Mile path but includes an additional out-and-back section on a paved trail. Children aged 10 and under can participate for free in the main events with a registered guardian, though they do not receive a shirt or bib unless a separate "Kids Pack" is purchased.
A specific 400 yard course is located near the finish line area for children aged 10 and under. To participate in this short distance, a parent or guardian must be registered for either the 2 Mile or 4 Mile run. Additionally, students in the 100 Mile Club can receive credit at their elementary schools by completing the longer distances, with certificates of completion provided after the run.
