Santa Claus Run - December 12, 2026
The Santa Claus Run is a winter trail event in Louisville, Colorado held at Louisville Community Park, 955 Bella Vista Drive. The event program includes a new Santa Claus half marathon, 5k and 10k trail runs, and a kids race. Packet pickup is available early at Runners Roost Louisville and at the race expo at Community Park on race weekend; race day pickup is organized through the expo tables and typically does not require ID or a QR code.
The course options include:
- Half Marathon new course to be revealed with a west loop of Community Park.
- 10k follows the 5k route plus an east loop of about 1.5 miles with one short steep hill and an additional water stop.
- 5k lollipop loop on packed gravel and bike path with one water stop, stroller and pet friendly.
- Kids race distance provided at the event.
Participant amenities and extras listed for the event include a runners neck buff for all entrants, a finisher snow globe featuring Santa and a new character, on-site food with cookies and snacks, a hot cocoa bar and tea, and a free Yoga Six session for bib holders at Erie/Lafayette locations between December and March. The event is presented as open to walkers, runners, children, and pets. Organizers also place hidden elf figures on the course as part of prize activities, and Santa Claus will be on-site for photos and interactions.
