WinterFest 5k and Fun Run

The WinterFest 5k and Fun Run takes place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at Carpenter Park, 3498 E 112th Ave, Thornton, CO 80233. Registration opens January 1, 2026. The event includes a festival on site with ice skating, a Holiday Marketplace, Santa visits, and a heated beer garden.

Events and race details

5k - chip-timed and scored, entry price $15.
Fun Run/Walk (approx .75 miles) - untimed, entry price $12.

All finishers receive a collectible finisher mug and a warm drink at the finish line. Race results are timed and scored for the 5k event.

Community partners and extras

The event partners with Food For Hope; in-kind food donations are collected on race day and donors may be entered in a raffle. The race also partners with Sneakers4Funds to collect gently used or new athletic shoes, with proceeds benefiting Growing Home.
