Event details
PieAthlon 2025 is a trail running event held on 20 December 2025 that starts and finishes at The Dusty Miller Pub, 2 Gilead Road, Huddersfield, HD3 4XH. The event combines a 6 km mainly off-road route with three pie tasting stations along the course. The route passes through a variety of terrains around Longwood, including a section known as the "bog of doom." Fancy dress is encouraged and there is a prize for best fancy dress. Medals are presented to all entrants; prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Lady, 1st Junior and Best Fancy Dress.
Logistics and entry
The event is organised by 25th Salendine Nook Scout Group in collaboration with The Dusty Miller. Entry opened 9 August 2025 and closed 5 December 2025; the entry fee is £20.00 and the minimum age is 14 on the event date. Entries recorded at the time of listing show 35 participants. Parking near the start is limited; additional parking is available on Longwood Edge Road and participants are advised to approach on foot if possible. A bag drop is available at The Dusty Miller but there are no showering facilities. The course can be muddy; dogs are welcome if kept under control and under 18s require parental consent or accompaniment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
