The Pathfinder March
The Pathfinder March is a long-distance sports event covering 46 miles (74 kilometres) through the Cambridgeshire countryside. The annual event commemorates the Royal Air Force Pathfinder Force of the Second World War. Participants follow a circular route that visits four historic RAF Pathfinder Force airbases.
The route starts and finishes at RAF Wyton Airfield. Along the way, the course passes through several locations including Godmanchester, Graveley, Papworth Everard, Elsworth, Childerley, Dry Drayton, Oakington, Oakington Airfield, Longstanton, Bluntisham, Colne, Somersham, Warboys, and Kings Ripton. The course includes 8 official checkpoints where participant cards are punched.
Registration is open to individuals aged 18 and older. Participants can choose to complete the entire distance as a single runner or walker, or enter as a team to complete the distance as a relay. While route markers and a course booklet are provided, basic navigation skills are required. Organizers recommend that participants carry a map and compass.

The entry fee includes a t-shirt and a finishers medal. Participants are responsible for their own navigation, supplies, and means of recovery if withdrawing from the course. Checkpoints have specific opening and closing times that must be met to remain in the event. Parking is available at the start and finish venue at RAF Wyton Airfield.
