Event Date and Distances

The Nene Valley Trail Run takes place on Saturday, 13 June 2026. The event offers two off-road running distances: a 10-mile race and a 20-mile race.

Location and Event Features

The race starts at Castle Farm Campsite in Fotheringhay, near Peterborough. Camping is available on site for the Friday and Saturday nights. The campsite has clean portable toilets but no showers. Participants are asked to bring their own cup or bottle for use at the water stations, as part of the event's eco-friendly approach.

Course and Organization

The courses follow trails through the Nene Valley, using easy tracks and paths. The routes pass through green fields, ancient bluebell woodlands, along rivers, disused railway tracks, and quiet villages. Both distances are fully marked and marshalled, so navigation is not required. There are well-stocked aid stations along the course.

Additional Information

A donation of £1 from every entry goes to Kings Cliffe Active, a local charity that encourages health and fitness in the area. Participants have the option to add a race T-shirt or make a 'Trees not Tees' donation when booking. The event's refund policy states there are no refunds, but race places can be transferred to another person via the entry system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
