PHOENIX - Cambridgeshire - Wolly Winka Chocolate Run
The event is held at Grafham Water, Marlow Car Park, Grafham, Cambridgeshire. It is a timed running event that uses a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back lap around the reservoir. Participants may complete as many laps as they wish within a six hour time limit; the minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles).
Multiple target distances are accommodated through the lap format:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
The course runs mainly on tarmac cycle paths with a short section of gravel. The overall route has minimal elevation gain and loss. The event operates a flexible rock up and run system with a one hour start window so runners can choose when to begin within that window.
All finishers receive a bespoke finishers' medal and all participants, including virtual entrants, receive a giveaway medal or memento. Entry fees are specified for affiliated and unaffiliated entrants. A random draw during the event will award five Golden Tickets; each Golden Ticket grants free entry to a future Phoenix Running Cambridgeshire event.
