Event overview
Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails South is an off-road running event at Whinlatter Forest on 4 January 2026. It is part of Lakeland Paws season 4 and is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. Individual starts are used so dogs have space at the start. The course surface is a mix of forest roads and trails. The route is based on the south side of the forest and is described as less technical than the Seat How route. Runners may compete with or without dogs; this route allows two dogs.
Course and entry information
- 10K route with approximately 380–400 m of ascent.
- 5K route with about 200 m of ascent.
The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available to download. Entry opens 25 July 2025 and closes 3 January 2026. The minimum age is 16 or older.
