Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails South is an off-road running event on 4 January 2026 in Whinlatter Forest, using the south side of the forest. It is part of Lakeland Paws season 4 and is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. The courses use a mix of forest roads and trails and are described as less technical than the Seat How route. Course and entry details
There are two course options:
- 10k with 380 m of ascent
- 5K with 200 m of ascent
Two dogs are allowed on the south-side route, and runners may compete without dogs. The event is chip timed and the route will be marked; GPX files are available. Minimum age to enter is 16 or older.
