The Next Loop - Shreveport
The event takes place at Eddie D. Jones Park in Keithville, Louisiana. The course is a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) loop that winds through wooded terrain and open park areas, returning to a central start and finish. A fully stocked aid station is available at the central start/finish for each completed lap.
The surface is primarily dirt and grass with occasional packed gravel sections. The trail is mostly flat with minimal elevation change and generally good footing, which supports steady pacing on natural terrain.
The loop format lets runners complete as many laps as they choose and rest or refuel between loops. Every completed loop is counted and honored without fixed cutoffs. This setup allows athletes to practice pacing and nutrition, build endurance gradually, or stack laps to reach longer distances.
Distances
- 3.1 miles (5K) per loop
- Complete 1 to 10 loops on the day
The description emphasizes looped progression rather than preset distances. The setting and aid support make the course suited to first-time trail runners who want a controlled trail experience as well as experienced endurance athletes working on longer efforts.
