OUTLAST SHREVEPORT - NIGHT OUT EDITION
OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge in which participants run a 5K every hour, on the hour, for up to six rounds. Each lap must be completed within the hour to continue; those who miss a lap are removed from further rounds. Early finishers rest until the next round begins.
The course uses trail terrain with natural features such as dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation changes; some sections may include pavement or gravel. This is a night edition and headlamps are required for night race participants. Runners have time between laps to recover, refuel, and prepare for the next 5K.
Support at the basecamp or loop start includes water, basic hydration, and snacks. OUTLAST is a cupless event, so participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent setups and personal aid stations are permitted at the venue.
All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Completing four laps earns a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps a “Survivor” patch, and all six laps a premium OUTLAST medal. Finishers who complete six laps receive a combined time for local awards and national leaderboard ranking. The fastest overall across all OUTLAST 6 hour events earns a $1,000 national prize. The top five male and female champions from each city earn a spot in the Outlast Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where separate cash prizes are awarded.
