OUTLAST Shreveport - Night Out Edition
OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge where participants run a 5K every hour on the hour and must finish each lap within the hour to continue. The Shreveport event uses trail terrain with natural surfaces, elevation changes, and occasional pavement or gravel. Each 5K lap is timed individually; if a runner completes all six laps the combined time counts toward local awards and the world leaderboard.
Support at the basecamp and loop start includes water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so runners should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station on site; stakes are not allowed.
Recognition is awarded by laps completed: four laps earn a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earn a “Survivor” patch, and six laps earn the premium OUTLAST medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. The top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at the event receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked on a world leaderboard; the fastest across all OUTLAST 6-hour events earns the World Champion title and a $1,000 prize.
The top five male and female six hour champions from each city qualify for the Outlast World Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where separate cash prizes are awarded for 1st through 3rd place.
