OUTLAST Shreveport - Night Out Edition
OUTLAST is a six hour trail endurance challenge held at 9100 Hwy 1 North, Blanchard, LA 71107. Participants run a 5K lap each hour, on the hour; each lap must be completed within the hour to continue. Runners who miss a lap are removed from the event. Completing all six laps earns the full OUTLAST finish.
Courses are trail based and may include dirt, rocks, roots, elevation, occasional pavement, and gravel. The format provides short recovery periods between laps to refuel and prepare for the next circuit. Aid is available at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event and participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Headlamps are required for night participants. Trail shoes and layers appropriate for conditions are recommended. Tent setups and personal aid stations are permitted.
Recognition is awarded by laps completed: four laps receive a bronze leather patch, five laps a silver leather patch, and six laps a premium wooden OUTLAST medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST tee and sticker. Finishers who complete all six laps are ranked on a national leaderboard. Local first place male and female winners and top national finishers receive championship opportunities and monetary prizes as outlined by the event.
