Event Overview
The Moray Marathon is a road running event organized by Chilled Running, located in the North and East of Scotland. The race takes place in the springtime and is designed to provide a fast course for participants seeking qualifying times for major events. The competition is officially approved by Scottish Athletics, making it a valid option for Boston Qualifying and London Championship Entry.

Course Details
The marathon follows the Moray coastline, providing views of the local scenery. Both the full marathon and the 20-mile race start and finish at the Morriston Running Track in Elgin. The course is described as flat and measured. The 20-mile race joins the main marathon course at the 6.2-mile mark and follows the same route to the finish line.
Facilities and Support
All participants are provided with chip timing to ensure accurate results. The finish area is designed to be family friendly for spectators and supporters. On-course photography is provided to document the event. The race includes several categories for competition, including Top 3 Male and Female finishers, as well as age categories for runners aged V40, V50, V60, and V70. Sponsored prizes are awarded for these categories.
The event aims to remain a specific size to ensure all participants are supported. Support is available for both elite runners and those completing their first race.
