Event overview
The Dramathon is a trail running event on 17 October 2026 along the Speyside Way, finishing at Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown. It offers four race formats: a full marathon-distance route, a half-marathon route, a slightly over 10 km race, and a four-person relay that divides the marathon into roughly four equal legs. The route passes several distilleries and uses mainly forest tracks and well-maintained paths, with some short sections on minor roads.
Distances
- Marathon - just under 42 km
- Half marathon - nearly 21 km
- 10K - just over 10 km
- Relay - team of four, four stages
Course and logistics
The full route largely follows the old railway line of the Speyside Way. There are hilly sections - one ascent in each quarter of the full marathon - and a gradual uphill stretch of about 7 km from Craigellachie to Dufftown. Some short road sections total about 5 km on the full course. The 10K starts in Aberlour and follows the River Spey to Craigellachie before rising up the Fiddich Valley to the finish. The full marathon starts at Glenfarclas and the half starts at Tamdhu.
Coach transport will be provided from Glenfiddich to the race start points and all runners must use the provided transport. Baggage transfer to the finish is included.
