The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest
The event is a two-day trail running festival held in Honeoye Falls and Mendon Ponds at Stewart Lodge. It offers multiple solo and team race options across varied looped courses, camping in the surrounding area, and on-course aid stations. Proceeds benefit the Blue Foundation, a charity based in Canandaigua, NY.
Course formats include multi-loop figure-8 arrangements and repeated shorter loops. The 100-mile solo uses two 10-mile loops in a figure-8 with aid stations along the route and a final mile to complete the course; finishers who meet cutoffs receive a belt buckle. The 50-mile solo follows a three-loop format with guaranteed aid and crew access approximately every 5.5 miles. The daytime 50K is roughly 33 miles across two laps of each course. A nighttime 50K uses three loops in a B-A-B pattern with stocked aid stations.
Relay options require teams to provide at least one volunteer and include a 99-mile team relay for up to six members and a new 50-mile relay for up to three members. The weekend also adds solo 20, 10, and 5 mile options for 2026. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after June 24. A communal dinner and breakfast are planned for relay teams and participants.
