The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest : July 25-26, 2026, Mendon Ponds, NY
The event takes place at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds near Honeoye Falls, New York. It features multiple trail running options over two days and raises funds for the Blue Foundation in Canandaigua, NY. Camping is allowed in the surrounding area. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after June 24. Registration closes on July 20.
Race formats, distances and logistics
Distances and team options include:
- 100 Mile - two 10-mile loops in a figure-8 plus one final mile.
- 50 Mile (Middle Mosquito) - 3x5.5x3 loop format.
- 50k (Mini-Mosquito daytime) - two laps of each course, roughly 33 miles.
- 50k (Mystical Mosquito nighttime) - three loops in a B-A-B sequence.
- 20 Mile, 10 Mile, 5 Mile solo options.
- 99-Mile Relay - teams up to 6 members.
- 50-Mile Relay - teams up to 3 members.
Cutoffs and rules: the 100-mile event has a 34-hour cutoff; loop cutoffs are specified for progression. Relay teams must provide one volunteer for the event. Aid stations are provided along loops and at the start/finish. There are no refunds; deferral options to the following year are available.
