The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest : July 25–26, 2026
The Mighty Mosquito Trail Fest is a two day trail running festival in the Honeoye Falls area of New York with activities centered at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds. The weekend offers multiple solo races and relay options and raises funds for the Blue Foundation, a charity in Canandaigua, NY.
Distances and team formats include:
- 100 Mile Mighty Mosquito
- 50 Mile Middle Mosquito
- 50K Mini Mosquito Daytime
- 50K Mystical Mosquito Nighttime
- 20 Mile Medium Mosquito
- 10 Mile Mercy Mosquito
- 5 Mile 5 Mile Mosquito
- 99 Mile team relay for up to six runners
- 50 Mile relay for up to three runners
Course formats vary by distance. The 100 mile uses two 10 mile loops in a figure eight with aid stations along the route and a final mile to complete the course. The 50 mile uses a three loop format composed of 5.5 mile segments. The daytime 50K covers roughly 33 miles across two laps of each course; the nighttime 50K follows a B A B loop pattern on the 100 mile course. Relay teams run in rotation so one member is on course at a time and others remain at the start area.
All relay teams must provide at least one volunteer for event duties. Camping is allowed nearby. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed after June 24. Registration closes July 20, 2026 and proceeds benefit the Blue Foundation. Refunds are not offered but deferral options are available.
