The Mighty Mosquito Trail Race & Relay

The event takes place July 24 to 25, 2027 in Honeoye Falls, NY with planned use of Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds. Camping is allowed in the surrounding area. Registration opens November 1, 2026; registrants by July 1 receive a custom shirt. Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after June 24.

A range of solo and team trail options is offered. Distances include:

100 mile solo (Mighty Mosquito)
50 mile solo (Middle Mosquito)
50k daytime solo (Mini Mosquito)
50k nighttime solo (Mystical Mosquito)
20 mile, 10 mile, and 5 mile solo options
99 mile team relay for up to six runners
50 mile team relay for up to three runners

The 100 mile course is described as two 10 mile loops run in a figure-8 with an aid station on route and an additional final mile to complete the distance. The Middle Mosquito 50 mile option uses three loops: approximately 5 miles (about 330 ft gain), 7 miles (about 880 ft gain), and 4.7 miles (about 200 ft gain). Relay teams run laps relay-style with one runner on course while teammates remain at the start/finish area.

All relay teams must provide one volunteer for event duties. Event proceeds benefit the Blue Foundation, a charity in Canandaigua, NY. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
