The Feast Thanksgiving Day Run and Walk
The Feast Thanksgiving Day Run takes place in Rochester, New York, featuring an out-and-back course that starts at the Blue Cross Arena. The route leads participants through downtown Rochester towards the University of Rochester campus. The course surface is flat and has no significant elevation changes.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 5 Miles: A chip-timed road race that includes a water station at the mid-course turnaround point.
- 2 Miles: A shorter road race or walk that follows the same general out-and-back structure.
- 0.5 Miles: A "Kids Half Mile Fun Run" specifically for children aged 10 and under.
- Virtual Race: A remote option where participants receive a race shirt by mail.
Strollers are permitted on the course, though those pushing them are asked to start at the rear of the field. Dogs are not allowed in the race due to insurance regulations. Packet pickup is held at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters during the days preceding the event, with a limited pickup window available on-site at the arena.
Awards are provided for various categories, including the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers, as well as masters and age group winners. Prizes include pies from a local bakery and gift certificates. On-street parking is available on Broad Street and Court Street, with additional parking available in the Court Street, Civic Center, and 168 Exchange lots.
