Mid Kent 5 Miler : 12 July 2026
The Mid Kent 5 Miler is the eighteenth running of a UKA licensed five mile road race held on Sunday 12 July 2026. The route winds through quiet Kent lanes and is described as predominantly flat; the course is officially measured and certified as accurate. All main turns are marshalled and marked with directional arrows. A water station is provided at approximately 2.5 miles and additional water is available at the finish.
Race administration uses chip timing with chip to chip times available; gun times are used for results. Results are published live by the timing provider. Each finisher receives a bespoke medal. Trophies and prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers, with trophies for first male and female in the following age categories: Junior, Senior, V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70, V75+. Team prizes are awarded to the first male and female teams, three to count. Spot prizes are awarded for finishing times closest to preset targets.
Race HQ is at Staplehurst Cricket and Tennis Club in Frittenden Road. Facilities at HQ include showers, hot food and a bar after the event. Parking is on the outfield adjacent to HQ and there are areas for warm up and for children to play. The event is a fundraiser for the Cricket and Tennis Club. UK Athletics rules prohibit headphones on the course. The race is not traffic free; traffic is light on a Sunday morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
