The Meadows 10k
The Meadows 10k is presented as a chip timed, course measured 10 km event run by the organiser. Registration is handled through the booking partner Let's Do This and participants receive race information and race day instructions by email in the lead up to the event.
Race bibs and timing chips are collected at the registration desk on the day of the event; this desk typically opens around an hour and a half before the race. The timing chip is attached to the race number bib and must be secured to an outer garment to register correctly.
In line with Scottish Athletics guidance used by the organiser, 10k runners should be older than 15. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian, who should stay onsite if a minor competes unaccompanied.
The event includes course features and services such as hydration stations, kilometre markers, course marshals, an instructor led warm up, upbeat music, a finishers medal, and goody bags containing sports nutrition items. Photos from race day are made available online to all participants after the event.
Operational notes include a typical 1.5 hour cut off to complete a 10k, relocation or route specific restrictions for running with a buggy, a policy that dogs are not permitted, and a restriction on standard headphones with bone conduction devices allowed. Online entry usually closes two days before the event and on the day entries are often available in cash at a typical price for a 10k. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
