The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail 2026
The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail takes place at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Routes leave from the manor house on the Stonor estate and run through the estate and the surrounding Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is known for an ancient fallow deer herd and occasional red kite sightings.
There are three waymarked routes with noticeable elevation gain and steep sections reaching gradients of around 22 percent. Outposts and on-route support differ by distance: the Short route has no outpost, the Middle route has one outpost, and the Half Marathon has two outposts. Outposts offer sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte. There are self-serve water barrels but no pre-filled water cups, so runners should carry a reusable cup or bottle. There are no toilets on the course; toilets are available in the start and finish area.
Entry rules note that participants under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Transfers between events are allowed once and multibuy discounts apply when entering multiple races. Organisers ask runners not to wear headphones and request that most participants complete their route within about four hours to reduce marshal time.
Event facilities include free parking, a fully marked and timed course, online results, event photography, bag drop and a metal finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
