The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail 2026
The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Routes start from the Manor House on the Stonor estate and run through the estate and the surrounding Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The estate is home to a longstanding fallow deer herd and there is the possibility of seeing red kite in the area. Trails include steep climbs and descents, with gradients reaching about 22% in places. The event has three waymarked routes and varying numbers of outposts: no outpost on the Short route, one outpost on the Middle route and two outposts on the Half Marathon route. Outposts provide a range of sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte. There will not be prefilled water cups at outposts; reusable cups or bottles are required to use the self serve water barrels.
Key practical details include free parking at the venue, fully marked and fully timed courses, online results and a metal finisher medal. There are no toilets along the running routes; toilets are available in the start and finish area only. Participants under 16 must run with a participating adult. Online entry closes on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 12:00 noon, and on the day entries may be available if the event is not sold out.
