About the race
The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail takes place at Stonor Park in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, on Saturday 7 November 2026. Routes run through the Stonor estate and the surrounding Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, passing woodland areas where fallow deer and red kites can sometimes be seen.
There are three waymarked trail routes with recorded elevation gain and outpost provision. The courses include steep sections, with some climbs and descents reaching gradients up to 22%. The outpost arrangement is:
- Half Marathon 22 km, +511 m elevation, two outposts.
- Middle 13 km, +360 m elevation, one outpost.
- Short 7 km, +99 m elevation, no outpost.
The event provides free parking, fully timed results, event photography, a bag drop area, and finishers medals. Outposts aim to offer sweets, savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte options; the event is working to be cup-free and participants are asked to bring a refillable cup or bottle. There are no toilets on the route; toilets are available only in the start/finish area.
Online entry closes on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 12:00 noon, and on-the-day entries may be available if the event is not sold out. Dog entries have sold out for this edition.
