Engine Race - Extraction Point
Engine Race - Extraction Point is a team navigation and functional fitness challenge based at Fitness Blueprint near Aylesbury (HP18 0PE). Teams of four surrender phones, watches, maps, money and other navigation aids before boarding blindfolded transport to an undisclosed drop location. When the blackout goggles are removed, the clock starts.
The first task is to work out the team's location and navigate all four members back to Fitness Blueprint on foot only. Teams must stay together for the entire event. No lifts, taxis, public transport, bicycles, phones, smartwatches, maps or compasses are permitted. Every athlete will carry a live GPS tracker for safety, but tracking information is not available to participants.
After all four athletes have returned, the team begins a mystery ENGINE workout. The official time stops only when every team member has arrived and the final workout is completed. Event safety provision and emergency support equipment are included, and teams receive an official result and finisher recognition for each athlete who completes the mission.
The event offers two extraction options:
- 5K EXTRACTION: drop point approx 5 km straight-line from Fitness Blueprint
- 10K EXTRACTION: drop point approx 10 km straight-line from Fitness Blueprint
Entry is £240 per team of four (equivalent to £60 per athlete). Only one team ticket is required; the team captain will be contacted to provide participant details. Participants must be 18 or over and must complete the health declaration, emergency-contact information and event waiver. The event takes place on public roads, pavements, footpaths and other publicly accessible areas. No refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
