Engine Race - Extraction Point

Engine Race - Extraction Point is a team navigation and functional fitness challenge for teams of four. Teams surrender phones, watches, maps, money and other navigation aids, are blindfolded and transported to an undisclosed drop location. When the blackout goggles are removed the event clock starts.

The first task is to work out where the team is and navigate all four members back to Fitness Blueprint on foot only, without GPS, maps or outside transport. Once every team member has returned, the team receives a mystery ENGINE workout. The official time stops only after all four athletes have returned and completed that final workout.

Distances offered:

  • 5 km extraction approximately 5 km as the straight line between drop and Fitness Blueprint
  • 10 km extraction approximately 10 km as the straight line between drop and Fitness Blueprint

Teams must contain four athletes who remain together throughout the event. Every athlete will carry a live GPS safety tracker for organizer use only. Participants must be aged 18 or over on event day. The event takes place on public roads, pavements, footpaths and other publicly accessible areas. Entry is priced at £240 per team of four, equivalent to £60 per athlete. Every participant must complete a health declaration, emergency-contact information and an event waiver. No refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
