The Maverick East Sussex Trail 2027
The Maverick East Sussex Trail takes place at Stanmer Park in Brighton, East Sussex. The routes run on sections of the South Downs Way and nearby downland, mixing ridgelines, open chalk downland, and woodland tracks. Underfoot there are hard-packed trails, chalky descents, twisting woodland paths, and open farmland sections.
Three route options are offered, each with marked courses, timed results, on-course fuel and hydration outposts, and event photography. Outposts provide fruit, cake, crisps, gels, and electrolyte drink; the event aims to be cup-free so participants should bring a refillable bottle or cup. The event is dog-friendly but limited dog spaces are available and must be added to an entry.
Facilities and services include pay and display parking at the University of Brighton (Falmer), a bag drop area, food and drink, a metal finisher medal, non-alcoholic beer, and online results. The nearest station is Falmer, a short walk to the venue. Entry fees for the routes are listed and online entry closes on 31 March 2027.
Essential items listed for the event include a phone, trail shoes, raincoat, long sleeve top, foil blanket, water bottle or running pack, and a reusable cup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
