The Mad Mallard 3, 6, 12 and 24 Hour Night Time Trail Race
This event offers timed trail running on a roughly 3-mile loop at Ronnie Bowers Wetland Trail in Henry Horton State Park, Chapel Hill, Tennessee. The loop follows the Duck River and passes through cane thickets, cedar groves, and hardwood forest. The course has roughly 144 feet of climb per loop and is mostly single-track dirt trail.

The course will be marked with glow sticks and reflective markers; organizers note the use of a headlamp or other light source. One main aid station at the start/finish area will be stocked with snacks, cold water, sodas, watermelon, and Tailwind hydration and will remain open through the night. The event includes finisher medals and a swag bag for each runner, plus awards to the top female and male competitors by laps in each race.
Additional features include a Mad Mallard belt buckle for runners who reach 100 miles within the 24-hour limit, a cash prize for anyone who exceeds the existing 24-hour mark of 104 miles, and hidden ducks placed on course. The race is hosted by a nonprofit; proceeds support purchases of backpacks, school supplies, and clothes for local school children.
