Bow Wow Dash
The Bow Wow Dash is the fourth annual 5K run/walk held in Lewisburg, Tennessee at 611 Brents Road. The event is an in-person, chip timed 5K that benefits Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee. All profit from the 5K will go to Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee.
After the race there is a Bow Wow Bash featuring music, food trucks, and vendors. Dogs are permitted on course when on a leash; participants with dogs will be started toward the back of the field and chip timing will not be affected by their starting position.
Competition awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers, who receive a trophy. Top three male and top three female finishers in each age division receive a medal. Age divisions are 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
The published registration fee for the 5K is $35. The organizer identifies the race as a community event that combines timed running with a post-race gathering and fundraising for a regional animal rescue organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
