The Lucky Leprechaun Half Marathon, 10 Miler, & 5K
The event takes place on March 6, 2027, in Versailles, Kentucky, with the start and finish at Falling Springs Recreation Center (Huffman Pavilion), 275 Beasley Road. The course runs on paved roads and pathways through local country and horse-country scenery.
Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 10 miles (10 Miler)
- 5K (5 kilometers)
Races are chip-timed. The half marathon has a pace limit of 16 minutes per mile (3 hours 30 minutes total). Overall and age-group awards are presented; all three in-person race distances receive finisher medals. Other on-course and event features include commemorative performance shirts, a Best Dressed Leprechaun contest, DJ entertainment, and free event photos.
The event benefits The Foster Care Council of Kentucky & The Woodford Humane Society. Packet pickup is offered on the days before the race at J&H Running Company (197 Moore Drive, Lexington, KY 40503) and at the pavilion at Falling Springs Recreation Center, with an additional race-morning pickup at the pavilion primarily for out-of-town participants; participants may collect packets for friends or family without additional credentials.
A virtual runner/walker option allows participants to complete 3.1, 10, or 13.1 miles in their own town; registering by March 1st qualifies runners for shipped race items.
