About the race
The Longest Day Run is a community road race held on June 19, 2027, with in-person and virtual options. The event takes place at Old Mill Park and lists packet pickup availability before the race at Dick Pond Athletics in St. Charles and on race day at Old Mill Park. The course is described as a closed scenic route and the event uses chip timing.
Race features include a custom finisher medal, age-group awards, top overall awards for the 5K, and a post-race celebration with music, cinnamon rolls, and coffee. All participants are entered into a raffle for Goodr sunglasses. There are multiple registration packages and a virtual participation option. Virtual participants may run or walk between June 13 and June 19, 2027, and race swag for virtual entries is shipped the week of June 19.
Some registration packages include a race shirt; budget packages omit the shirt but include a finisher medal and food tent. Awards are given by age group. The 5K age-group awards cover categories from 10 and under up to 80 and over with first through third places in each bracket; the 10K uses age brackets such as 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, and older categories up to 70 and over. Volunteers support the event and a volunteer registration option is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
