Event overview
The Running of the Elves is part of the Very Merry Huntley event in downtown Huntley, Illinois, on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The event is hosted at the Square near Coral and Church Street and is presented by the Rotary Club of Huntley. Proceeds will support the local community and scholarships for Huntley students. Race day registration and packet pick-up are available.

Race features, awards and sponsorship
All registered participants receive a race shirt and an Elf hat; shirt size is guaranteed only with earlier registration. Age-group awards are planned for the 5K in male and female divisions, including a 12 & under category and decade age groups up to 65 and over. The Dash for Kids has combined boys and girls awards for the top three places. Multiple sponsorship levels are available, offering benefits such as logo placement on materials, signage, online mentions, and complimentary entries depending on level.
