Event

The Llangollen 50k is scheduled for 6 June 2026 and starts and finishes at Llangollen Leisure Centre, Dinbren Road, Llangollen. The event is organised by OutFit Personal Fitness Ltd. Entry options listed include a standard paid entry (£53.50) and an OutFit member entry (free). All finishers receive a medal.

Course and logistics

The route links two existing linear trails on either side of the River Dee: the Dee Valley Way out to Corwen and the North Berwyn Way for the return. The course combines two-way marked 15-mile linear sections plus additional distance to reach 50 km total. Runners will climb nearly 6000 ft, with the high point at Moel Fferna (2071 ft). There are three checkpoints with feed stations at the following distances:

  • 50 km total distance
  • 11 km - Bwlch y Groes
  • 23.8 km - Corwen Leisure Centre
  • 39 km - Ceiriog Forest

The organiser provides a map. Due to the distance and terrain, participants must carry specified kit, including full body waterproof cover, hat and gloves, a buff, a map, at least 1 litre of water at the start, a fully charged mobile phone, and a foil blanket. Registration and start take place at Llangollen Leisure Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
