About the race
The Llangollen 50K is an ultra-distance running event held in the scenic Dee Valley of North Wales, starting and finishing in the town of Llangollen. First launched in 2021, the race covers a challenging 50-kilometer route combining two way-marked 15-mile linear trails—the Dee Valley Way and the North Berwyn Way—plus additional distance to reach the full 50K. The course features nearly 6,000 feet of ascent, including a high point at Moel Fferna on the Berwyn hills (2,071 ft).
With three checkpoints offering feed stations, the event suits both experienced ultra runners and newcomers, encouraging participants to enjoy the stunning views and supportive atmosphere.
