The LexGiving 5K
The LexGiving 5K is the fourth annual community run/walk held on Thanksgiving Day in Lexington, Massachusetts. The event uses a new, family-friendlier course with fewer hills and begins and ends at Lincoln Field. The program includes a DJ, a race photographer, an awards ceremony, and a post-race prize sweepstakes.
Race organizers provide free race T-shirts to registrants who register by November 11, 2026. Chip-timing bibs are used. Strollers and dogs are permitted and are asked to start at the back of the field to reduce the risk of collisions. Race day photos will be taken and published for public access after the event.
Entry fees are listed by category: general registration $35, race day registration $40 (with a noted group rate), students and seniors $25, and municipal employees and first responders $25. Medals are awarded to the top male and female finishers and to age-bracket winners; the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket receive printed certificates. Age brackets include Elementary School and younger (10 and under), Middle School (11 to 14), High School (15 to 18), 19–29, 29–39, 39–49, 49–59, 59–69, and 70 plus.
The event hosts a Toys for Tots drive with a drop-off for unwrapped toys or books. Proceeds cover event costs and support local high school wrestling teams and the Minuteman Parents Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
