About the race
The LexGiving 5K is a community run/walk held on Thanksgiving morning in Lexington, Massachusetts. The event is the fourth annual edition and uses a new, family-friendlier course with fewer hills. The course begins and ends at Lincoln Field at 100 Lincoln Street. The event program includes a DJ, a race photographer with photos published free to the public after the event, an awards ceremony, and a prize sweepstakes held at the conclusion of the race.
Strollers and dogs are allowed and are asked to start toward the back of the field. Registered participants who sign up by November 11, 2026 receive a free race T-shirt. Organizers use chip-timing bibs. Awards include medals for the top male and female overall finishers and age-bracket winners; the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket receive printed certificates.
Age brackets run from elementary school through 70 and older, with intermediate groups for middle school, high school, and successive adult ranges. A Toys for Tots drive will collect toy donations at the event. The race is produced by the Friends of Lexington High School Wrestling Team Corp., in partnership with the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School Parents Association and Concord-Carlisle High School’s wrestling team.
