The LexGiving 5K
The LexGiving 5K is a community run and walk held in Lexington, Massachusetts around the Thanksgiving period. The event begins and ends at Lincoln Field and is organized to support local high school athletics and community groups.
Registration information notes an opening date in May 2026 and that registration remains available through race day. Entry fees are listed as $35 for general registration, with reduced fees of $25 for students, seniors, Town of Lexington employees, and first responders. Participants who register before November 12 receive the official LexGiving 5K T shirt. All registered participants receive one automatic entry into a sweepstakes with official rules governing that promotion.
Awards are given to the male and female overall winners, plus age group awards for male and female finishers in multiple age brackets ranging from 11 and under through 70 and over. Race day photos will be taken and published to the public for free after the event. Strollers and dogs are permitted in the race, and those participants are requested to line up at the back of the starting pack to reduce the risk of collisions.
The event has partnerships with local schools and community organizations, and includes a drop off toy drive affiliated with Toys for Tots to collect toys and books for disadvantaged children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
