About the race
The LexGiving 5K is the fourth annual Thanksgiving morning run and walk held in Lexington, Massachusetts at Lincoln Field on November 26, 2026. The event uses a new, family friendlier course with fewer hills and welcomes participants using strollers and dogs, who are asked to line up at the back of the starting pack to reduce collisions. Organizers plan a DJ and a race photographer during the event. Race day photos will be published and available to the public for free online after the event.
A prize sweepstakes will be held at the conclusion of the race in addition to an awards ceremony. Registration opens May 7, 2026 and closes November 25, 2026. Standard registration is $35, with race day registration at $40 and a group rate noted as $30. Reduced fees of $25 apply to students, seniors, municipal employees, and first responders.
Participants who register by November 11, 2026 receive a free race t shirt. Chip timing will be used. Medals will be awarded to the top male and female and to age bracket winners. Top three male and female finishers in each age bracket receive printed certificates.
Age brackets include elementary school and younger; middle school 6th to 8th; high school 9th to 12th; 19 to 29; 29 to 39; 39 to 49; 49 to 59; 59 to 69; and 70 and over. The event is produced by Friends of Lexington High School Wrestling Team Corp in partnership with the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School Parents Association and Concord Carlisle High School Wrestling Team. Proceeds cover event operations and support the Lexington and Concord Carlisle wrestling teams and Minuteman scholarships and activities. A Toys for Tots drop off drive will collect toys and books for disadvantaged children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
