The event was started by the Lexington High School (LHS) Wrestling coaching staff and has involved the LHS track team. For 2025 the organizers list a partnership with Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School and the Minuteman Parent Association. The Lexington Police Department and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program are also listed partners. On-site features include a DJ, a race photographer, an awards ceremony, a post-race giveaway, and a drop-off toy drive for Toys for Tots.
