Franklin Park Turkey Trot - 14th Running
The Franklin Park Turkey Trot is a community road race held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at the Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse in Dorchester, MA. The event features a chip-timed 5K and has drawn participants from neighborhoods bordering the park.
Registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026; the registration fee is $25. Kids aged 5 and under are free with no registration required. The event has sold out in recent years, so race day registration may be limited.
Participants of all ages are permitted. Strollers, wheelchairs, and race-ready leashed dogs are allowed. A second start wave is scheduled for casual joggers and walkers. Awards will be presented outside the clubhouse for overall male, female, and non-binary winners, age-group first places, best costumes, fastest dog, and fastest stroller.
Race day number pickup is at the golf clubhouse; opportunities for early number pickup are planned at the golf clubhouse and at JP Licks with dates to be announced. The clubhouse will be open for restrooms, which have limited stalls, and additional porta-potties will be provided. There will be no bag check.
Parking is available in and around the golf clubhouse, along Circuit Drive, and in nearby lots. Pathway surfaces vary and may be slippery or uneven in places; participants should be aware of footing conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
