Event overview
The Franklin Park Turkey Trot is a community 5K held on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, at the Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse (One Circuit Drive, Dorchester, MA 02121). The course follows a loop around the golf course, with both the start and finish near the clubhouse. The event is chip timed and includes a second start wave for casual joggers and walkers.
Runners and walkers come primarily from neighborhoods bordering the park, including Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan. The race welcomes strollers, wheelchairs, and race-ready leashed dogs. Children aged 5 and under are free with no registration required.
Logistics and race details
Registration prices and age categories are listed by the organizer; discounted registration is available before October 31, 2025. Early number pick-up is offered on several Saturdays in November and on the evening before the race at a Jamaica Plain location; race day number pick-up takes place at the golf clubhouse. Ample parking is available at the golf clubhouse, along Circuit Drive, and in nearby lots; additional parking is about 0.3 miles down Circuit Drive.
Facilities include limited indoor restrooms and a bank of portable toilets. There is no bag check. Participants should be aware that pathway surfaces vary and may be slippery or uneven in spots.
