RUN Manatee - Rye Preserve 5K Run/Walk
The Rye Preserve event is the final race in the RUN Manatee three-event series and takes place at Rye Preserve in Parrish, FL. The 5K run/walk is held on mixed terrain using the preserve’s trail system, which passes through four ecosystems: sand pine scrub, xeric oak scrub, oak hammocks and the river community. Wildlife that can be seen in the preserve includes species such as the gopher tortoise and the Florida scrub-jay.
Support activities on site include a group warm up and a yoga cooldown, plus a marketplace with local vendors and food options. Event entry items and awards for the 5K include a dri-fit event T-shirt and a custom finisher medal; shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by 10/30/26, with limited availability afterward. Those who complete all three RUN Manatee events can assemble the three event medals into a 2026 series medal.
Registration details: the 5K has a registration fee of $35, while the fun run and some on-site activities are offered without a fee; pre-registration is required for the 5K. Ten percent of 5K registration fees will be donated to Foundation for Dreams, which operates Dream Oaks Camp within Rye Preserve.
Packet pick up takes place on the days before the event at local recreation sites and at a packet tent on race day at Rye Preserve. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
