The JURCs 2026 5-Borough Series
The JURCs 2026 series consists of five monthly community runs held from April through September. These events focus on a collaborative group environment rather than competitive racing. The season begins on Staten Island, with the meeting point located at the Fort Wadsworth Parking Lot at the intersection of Hudson Road and USS North Carolina Road.
Participants can choose from multiple distance options during the tour of the borough:
- 5 km walk or run
- 10 km run
- 10 mile run
This event functions as a non-competitive long run. There are no timing chips, no official bibs, and no pressure to maintain a specific pace. Participants are encouraged to track their own progress using personal GPS devices or fitness applications. The routes are designed to highlight the local scenery of each borough.
An exclusive series t-shirt is available for purchase and is distributed to participants before the start of the runs. The cost for the shirt is a one-time fee.
