The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon is a USATF-certified half marathon held in Brooklyn, NY. The event typically attracts over 25,000 runners. The course starts in North Brooklyn, follows the East River waterfront under the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges, continues along Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue, passes Grand Army Plaza and brownstone neighborhoods, and finishes at Prospect Park. Registered participants receive an official race shirt and a 2026 finishers medal. Photographers provide one complimentary photo with options to purchase additional images.
Course, services, and policies
The course is electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system with split points and clocks. Hydration and portable toilets are provided approximately every 1-2 miles, and medical support is available throughout the course. Pace teams are offered for finish times between 1:30 and 3:00. Post-race refueling includes water, electrolyte fluids, fruit, and a bagel. Bag check is available at the pre-race Expo only; items must fit in one clear bag provided or supplied by the runner. Results and awards: top three male, female, and non-binary finishers are recognized overall by gun time, with age-group awards for the top three in each listed age category.
