Event
The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience is a half marathon held in Brooklyn, NY on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The event expects a large field (over 25,000 runners) and includes overall awards for the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers by gun time, plus age-group awards in standard age brackets from 19 and under to 80 and over.
Course and logistics
The USATF-certified course starts in North Brooklyn, follows the East River waterfront under the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges, passes along Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue, goes through Grand Army Plaza, and finishes at Prospect Park. Electronic timing uses the MYLAPS Bibtag system with split points and clocks. Hydration stations and portable restrooms are provided approximately every 1-2 miles, and medical support is available along the route. Pace teams from the Prospect Park Track Club will be available for paces from 1:30 to 3:00.
Amenities and policies
Every runner receives an official race shirt (expo pickup or optional mailing) and a collector’s finishers medal. Post-race refreshments include water, electrolyte fluids, bagels with shmear, and fruit. One complimentary race photo is provided; additional photos may be purchased. Bag check is available only at the pre-race expo and requires a single clear bag. VIP packages, bib-and-shirt mailing (fee $35), finish-line viewing passes, and wheelchair/handcycle divisions are offered.
