NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon

The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience is a half marathon taking place in Brooklyn, NY on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The event typically draws over 25,000 runners and was named by USA Today as one of the Best Half Marathons of 2025. The course begins in North Brooklyn, follows the East River waterfront under the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges, continues along Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue, passes through Grand Army Plaza, and finishes in Prospect Park.

Course, logistics, amenities and policies

The course is USATF certified and will be electronically timed using the MYLAPS Bibtag system, with timing split points and course clocks. Hydration stations and restrooms are available every 1-2 miles, medical support will be on course, and pace teams from the Prospect Park Track Club will cover 1:30 to 3:00 paces. Handcycle and Wheelchair divisions are accommodated and athletes in those divisions will receive arrival details before the race.

Race week Expo provides bib and shirt pickup and the only bag check; there is no race-day bag check and all checked items must fit in a single clear bag (18" x 24"). Every runner receives an official race shirt at the Expo (unless mailed) and a 2026 finishers medal at the finish. Post-race refreshments include water, electrolyte fluids, fruit, and a bagel. Pricing tiers vary by date and membership status; NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount and certain deferral benefits. Results are emailed and posted online; awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary overall finishers and to the top three in each listed age group. The event follows a no-refunds, no-transfers policy; strollers and dogs are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
