Events
The event offers three options:
- 7K Run/Walk: A timed run or walk.
- 1 Mile Family Fun Walk: An untimed walk.
- 7K Virtual: A virtual option where participants can run any day/time between October 18 and 31 and log their results. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
Location and Date
The event is the third annual edition and will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026. It is based at The JADFA House on 916 Kenmore Blvd in Akron, Ohio.
Event Inspiration and Improvements
The race was inspired by James Anderson and his journey of recovery. It was launched in 2024 as a community event in support of recovery. For the 2026 edition, organizers note several planned improvements, including a newly paved driveway at the start/finish line, an updated and more accurate race map, and improved logistics and amenities.
Participant Information
All registrants receive a short sleeve t-shirt in sizes from Adult X-Small to 3X-Large and a finisher's medal. A discount is offered for participants who choose a no-shirt option.
Awards are given for the 7K event to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in various age groups (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+).
