The Huddersfield Hurtle
The Huddersfield Hurtle is a trail running event held along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal at the River Colne, Chapel Hill, Huddersfield. The course is flat and follows an out and back route on good trail surfaces. The trail can be icy or slippy in places, so participants are advised to take care.
The course is fully marshalled and signed. Feed and drink stations are provided at approximately every three miles. Canal side toilets are available at the start and finish area. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and additional treats.

- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Marathon (two half laps)
All races are licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. Registration opens from 7:30am on the day and organisers recommend allowing at least one hour for parking, registration and use of facilities.
Parking options listed for the event include NCP Huddersfield Colne Road and Alfred Street Car Park. The event notes that parking by the start and finish is not permitted and that Huddersfield Bus Station is a 20 minute walk from the location.
