Halloween 5 and 10 miles
The Halloween 5 and 10 miles event takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026 and is organised by Exeter City Community Trust. The race starts at Piazza Terracina by the Exeter Canal Basin and follows a flat route through the Exe Valley River Park.
Runners can choose from these distances:
- 5 miles
- 10 miles (two laps of the 5 mile route)
Age recommendations are specified for each distance: the 5 mile event is for participants over 15 years old and the 10 mile event is for participants over 17 years old. The course is described as flat and suitable for lap running where the 10 mile distance is completed as two circuits of the 5 mile route.
On-course support typically includes water stations and medical assistance. Facilities listed for the finish area include toilets, a water station, a recovery area, a medical station, and a bag store. Medals are provided to all finishers.
The event is organised to support local sports participation and wellbeing activities and to raise funds for the trust and its charity partners.
