Halloween 5 and 10 miles
Exeter City Community Trust organises an autumn road running event in Exeter on Sunday 25 October that offers two measured distances along a largely flat route beside the Exe Valley River Park. The course starts at Piazza Terracina by the Exeter Canal Basin and the 10 mile option is two laps of the 5 mile route.
Distances:
- 5 miles
- 10 miles (two laps of the 5 mile route)
Age recommendations are provided: the 5 mile race is for participants over 15 years old and the 10 mile race is for participants over 17 years old. The event is UKA licensed and England Athletics members receive a discounted entry for licensed races.
On-course support typically includes water stations and medical assistance. Finish line facilities commonly include toilets, a water station, a recovery area, a medical station, and a bag store. Medals are presented to all finishers.
The event is organised to support local sports participation and wellbeing activities. It also provides fundraising opportunities for Exeter City Community Trust and its charity partners, such as Exeter Leukaemia Fund, Alright Mate and Children’s Hospice South West. Runners who join the trust fundraising team receive a technical running top, a fundraising pack, access to online training materials and post-event hospitality.
