Entry can be secured either as a charity place or by booking an individual place. Charity places carry a minimum fundraising pledge of £80 to £100 depending on distance (excluding gift aid). Participants are expected to meet the UK Athletics minimum age requirement of 17 on the day of the event.
The organiser provides course information materials including a route map, marshal-point maps and a certificate of course accuracy. On-course support typically includes water stations and medical assistance. All finishers receive a medal. Results are shared by email and published on Webscorer. Facilities at the finish typically include toilets, a water station, a recovery area, a medical station and a bag store.
