Halloween 5 & 10 Miles
The Halloween 5 & 10 Miles is a running event held in Exeter, organized by the Exeter City Community Trust. The race starts at the Piazza Terracina near the Exeter Canal Basin. The course is described as flat and fast, taking participants on a scenic route through the Exe Valley River Park.
Runners can choose between two main distances:
- 5 miles (8 km)
- 10 miles (16 km)
The 10 mile distance consists of two laps of the 5 mile route. Minimum age requirements are in place for safety; participants for the 5 mile event must be at least 15 years old, while the 10 mile event requires runners to be at least 17 years old.
The course is UKA licensed and has a Certificate of Course Accuracy. Support throughout the route includes marshals at designated points, water stations, and medical assistance. At the finish line, facilities such as toilets, a bag store, and a recovery area are provided. All finishers receive a medal upon completion of their chosen distance.
The event supports community wellbeing and sports participation programmes. Participants have the option to secure a standard entry or a charity place with a minimum fundraising pledge.
